What Globant announced
On October 27, the company introduced Glob.AI OS, a control layer for enterprise AI that brings together model selection, data and system connections, an agent repository and execution controls. Globant says its Intelligence Hub can route tasks across more than 320 open and closed models from over 25 providers. The platform also includes identity management, budgets, cost attribution and an audit trail.
The platform is offered as SaaS or in a customer’s own cloud and can be accessed through chat, web, desktop, command line and MCP. At announcement, Globant was inviting organizations to request early access. The company also reported results from selected customer projects, including a 20% increase in throughput efficiency at FIFA and contract timelines at YPF reduced by up to 40%. These are supplier-reported figures; the press release does not provide the methodology or an independent verification.
Why this matters to a small business
Most small companies do not need a router for hundreds of models. But the problem this class of system addresses is familiar to SMEs too: employees connect different services, data is spread across tools, bills are hard to tie to tasks, and an agent’s access to a CRM or documents is not always transparent.
The OECD’s 2026 survey of more than 2,000 SMEs in 12 countries—explicitly a non-representative sample—found growing use of off-the-shelf AI tools alongside persistent challenges around skills, maintenance and secure integration. For a small team, the practical lesson is not to buy a large “AI control plane”, but to define a minimum set of controls first.
A short checklist before a pilot
- Who can use the model, and which data can it access?
- How will spending be attributed to a task and a process owner?
- Where are tool calls logged, and who checks an agent’s actions?
- Can you change the model or provider without rebuilding the whole workflow?
Start with one workflow, such as searching internal instructions or drafting a customer reply. Define permitted data, a person responsible for review and a useful-result metric; then compare actual time and cost with the current process.
Limits of this announcement
Glob.AI OS targets enterprise deployments. The announcement does not disclose pricing, terms for small companies or availability in Russia. The reported cases concern Globant customers and do not prove the same results for another company. This is therefore a signal about the market for AI governance, not a ready-made solution for Russian SMEs.
