What happened
On September 8, 2026, Yandex launched Alice AI for Business, a ready-to-use AI assistant inside Yandex 360. The service is already available to platform customers and targets work where a chat answer is not enough: collecting information from several sources, preparing a document, turning meeting agreements into tasks, or identifying recurring issues in support requests.
Its main distinction from a conventional corporate chatbot is Tasks mode. The assistant can execute a sequence of actions and access work services through plugins. The official description lists Mail, Disk, Calendar, Tracker and Wiki, as well as announced connections to Bitrix24, SPARK, amoCRM and 1C.
What is confirmed
An organization administrator controls access to the service, knowledge bases and plugins. Each action can be configured to request permission, run automatically or remain prohibited. Yandex also states that its models are not trained on user or organization data and that the corporate workspace is separated from a user's personal environment.
The assistant can use a corporate knowledge base assembled from files and links. This makes adoption resemble a packaged RAG service: an employee asks a question and the system retrieves an answer from internal policies and documents. Quality still depends on current sources, properly structured permissions and human review of the output.
Practical impact
For a small business already using Yandex 360, the release provides a short route to an agent pilot without building a separate integration layer. A sensible first use case is one repeatable process with restricted permissions, such as a weekly summary based on emails and tasks or answering questions from internal instructions.
Before launch, the company should specify which sources the assistant may access, which actions require confirmation and who verifies the result. The economic effect should be measured by time to an employee-accepted outcome and the share of tasks that do not need manual rework, rather than by the number of conversations.
Material limitation
The product available today is a cloud service. Yandex said a configurable edition for hybrid deployment or installation in an organization's internal infrastructure will arrive later. Companies that require a fully local environment should therefore not treat the announcement as an available on-premises product yet.
Trial access and subscription terms vary by organization status and connection date. Before scaling, a company should check the current rules and the final per-user price. A small pilot group, one process, and predefined quality and security criteria are sufficient for an initial test.
